EXUMA
Blessed with incredibly clear tropical water, countless stunning anchorages,
emerald islands and white sand beaches, the Exuma Cays have long enjoyed a
reputation as one of the most exquisite cruising areas in the western
hemisphere. Bordered on the west by an extension of the Great Bahama Bank,
the island chain features countless cuts and creeks leading to the deeper
water of Exuma Sound to the east.

A substantial bonefish population and extensive areas of wadeable sand and
coral flats are sure to delight the angler. Deeper edges hold fair numbers
of permit. As in most of the Bahamas, the tarpon fishery begs further
exploration. Due to the southerly location just north of the Tropic of
Cancer, the area around Great Exuma and Little Exuma suffer far fewer cold
fronts than Andros or Abaco.
